Tokyo Houseboat Association (operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Houseboat Cooperative) has provided excellent services and remarkable impressions for more than 200.000 people so far. Are there toilets on the boats?
The design of the toilet varies depending on the type and size of the houseboats. Regardless, please be assured that there are always at least two clean toilets on every houseboat
I’m worried about seasickness.
With wider designs compared to regular boats, houseboats are less swaying while on the water. During our trips, there are not many cases of seasickness. However, if you have any concerns, we recommend that you take your preferred anti-sickness medicines before boarding. After taking the medicines, please be more careful about taking alcohol drinks.

Is it cold in winter?
For comfortable and pleasant experiences, all houseboats are equipped with air conditioners. You will be warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Are children allowed to board?
Yes, children are welcome on board. Regarding the prices, it is different depending on the houseboat companies, please do not hesitate to contact us for detailed information.
Is there cancellation fee?
Is the service available for families or small groups of people?
For charter services, it depends on the houseboat companies, the days of the week, and the seasons. Usually, it is available if you pay for the minimum required number of people ( 10 – 15 people). For shared trips, 1 to 2 people are often enough to make a reservation. Feel free to contact us for more information and reservation purpose.
